Dirty Socks On The Floor!

"But now [are they] many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you." 1 Corinthians 12:20-21
 
The Bible tells us that we are all important members of the body of Christ. We all have skills, talents and resources that our Lord can use. This verse implies that as members of the body we are expected to work.
 
Let's be honest. We've all walked past the socks on the floor, the shoes by the couch or the slick tires on the car and didn't give it a thought. Not unlike a pair of dirty socks on the floor, we often fail to see opportunities to serve our Lord. Sometimes we assume that someone else will do it and never even consider that perhaps the Lord is asking us.
 
To help us focus on the socks on the floor of our church, we've provided the following list to help. As you read the list consider that our Lord is asking you personally. Will you say 'no' to Him once again?
 
Sign Changer The sign in front of our church is idealy located to place a highly visible message in front of many Splendorians. Idealy the message would change each week. It's not that hard and what is really needed is faithfulness in changing the sign.
Mowing The Grass This is a much apreciated and highly visible area of service. If you'd like to help with the grounds, then please contact the church office.
Nursery Workers Just sign up on the sheet outside of the nursery door.
Childerns Church Workers Let Mattie know and she will work you in to the schedule.
Sound Booth We need faithful workers that will help us in the sound booth. There are basically two jobs in the sound booth; Running the overhead projector and running the sound board. These are not difficult jobs to learn. But, they are highly visible areas of our worship service.
