What Time Is It

The Perfect Splint

"with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?… No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:35 & 37

  • The Great Psysician
Often we refer to Jesus as the great physician for two reasons (1) He healed many when he was on the earth (see  Luke 6:17, Matthew 8:16, Mark 3:10, Luke 7:21  just to name a few), (2) He came to provide a cure for a disease that prevents us from being with Him (sin).

  • Fixing Broken Relationships
A careful study of the Bible shows that God's first choice is always restoration when dealing with a broken or damaged relationship. Separation is the last resort. But it is also the default course of action. If you have a broken or damaged relationship it's not going to fix it's self. To mend a relationship takes intentional effort. Most of the time it takes a softening of the heart and a love that can overcome petty differences. This is the same love that Jesus showed when He died on the cross for you and I. Once you understand what Jesus did for you, it becomes easier to understand how you can mend a relationship. It may be that you are not capable of giving something you've never recieved.

  • Sin and Consequences
When we confess our sins and earnestly desire never to repeat them again, God is faithful and forgives us of our sins ( 1 John 1:9Psalms 103:11-12 ). But, that just means that He does not hold us responsible for those sins anymore. It does not mean that we escape the consequences of our actions. Sin always looks and/or feels so good at first. But there is always a price (Romans 6:23).

  • Weathering The Storm
Ever notice how some people never seem to be bothered by the trials that they pass through. They are somewhat concerned and they're not in denial. But, they just seem to remain happy and calm, even in spite of bad circumstances. You can tell it’s not just a front. They’re just really not as upset as they should be. They seem to reamin calm and confident even when things are real bad. Ever wonder how they do it? Perhaps they've read Philippians 4:13 and belive it. When someone really, really places their trust and faith in Jesus, this is just one of the ways it shows.
